How It Started

Hi, I’m Jackie. Like a lot of parents, I regularly recieved emails about the overflowing Lost & Found at school.

One day I realized those forgotten jackets, sweatshirts, and sneakers could help many local families.

That simple idea became the Southside Kids Clothing Bank.

Why It Matters

For some families, a few bags of clean, well-fitted clothes can make a real difference. It helps kids feel confident at school and lets parents stretch their budgets a little further.

This project is rooted in one belief: every child deserves to feel comfortable, cared for, and ready to learn—no matter their family’s situation.

What We Do

We keep it simple, local, and focused on our community:

  • Collect gently used children’s clothing from South Hill families and Lost & Found closets at neighborhood schools
  • Clean & Sort everything by size, season, and condition
  • Distribute clothes for free at pop-up events.
